Silver Standard Poodle Puppy

I would love to have this little girl. She is so cute!

Shih Tzu Pug Mix

This is Toby, he received his spring haircut. He is a Shih Tzu Pug mix. As you can see in the before picture, the hair grows very long up and under his eyes making it very hard for Toby to see.
Here in the after photo, that hair has been shortened on his face and now he can see what he was missing. Looking mighty cute too, I may say!!

Labradoodle Puppy Grooming

Look at me, I'm Charlie and I'm a girl.
Charlie is a 3 month old Labradoodle puppy, that means she is half Standard Poodle and half Labrador Retriever. This was her first official grooming and she did pretty good. Puppies are always apprehensive about having a clipper buzz the bottom of their feet, under their tummy and those awful nail clippers, their the worst. Her owner likes the fluffy look so this grooming was minimal compared to the couple hours it takes to do an all over hair cut. I used Isle Of Dogs Isle Hold on her head and then sprayed Isle Lift down to the roots to create extra height. I lightly scissored around the feet and trimmed around her eyes. Next time she will have more hair to trim yet keeping the fluffy puppy style.

Short Hair Cut on a Westie - West Highland Terrier

This is a nice, easy to care for springtime clip on a Westie. Meet Kalpie, she enjoys playing in the yard and swimming in a nearby creek. Short hair styles are convenient for people with active dogs. Just into the tub, rinse that creek water and grass clippings off, towel dry and away she goes.

Toy Poodle with a Short Clip

Here is Willy, he is a small toy poodle. Willy's owner likes a short hair cut on him. It is easier to clean him off at home in between the 4 weeks till I groom him again. For this clip I just use a short number 5 blade all over the body and legs and cut the hair on his feet with a 10 blade. Willy gets a clean face with a short top knot, but I leave the ears a bit fluffy.

The Beautiful Face of the Maine Coon Cat

Have you ever just looked into the face of a cat and wondered how amazing they are? Now, I am not a cat person per say, but I do love the animal and all its beauty. The eyes are so unique like no other, the markings are almost always even in pattern. Their ears with their wispy hairs are so keen that they bring an astute alertness to this magnificent creature. Grooming one can be very challenging to say the least. Always paying close attention to their quickness is key in grooming a cat.

Cockapoo

Cockapoos are a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, they require regular grooming, usually every 4-8 weeks depending on style of groom. Their hair grows continually and will mat up if not brushed out. Brushing, clipping, ear cleaning , teeth brushing & nail trims are all things that will need to be done on a regular basis. Cockapoos are prone to bad teeth as they grow older so good dental care is very important. As well as eating healthy food and treats. Supplements are also vital in keeping you Cockapoo healthy, promoting good skin and coats among other things.
This is Hubble, a regular customer of mine for many years. Here he is after 8 weeks of hair growth.

And here's Hubble after his day at the spa. He looks so happy. And did you check out those eyelashes?

Poodle Lab Basset Mix

Here is Murphy, he is a Poodle, Labrador and Basset Hound mix. Murphy just got his summer short haircut and he loves it.
He is also a Life's Abundance pet food eater.  Murphy's mom just orders with auto ship so Murph will never miss a meal of his favorite food.  sign up for your pet's food to be delivered fresh to your door.  www.pipschoice.com Click to order by going to dog or cat food and place your order.  It's that simple!

Cairn Terrier Pet Groom

This is Courage, a Cairn Terrier. The shaggy appearance is how a Cairn is to look. This type of coat actually takes quite a bit of care. If neglected, the coat soon becomes a matted mess, so brushing it out several times a week is necessary for a well groomed look. Begin brushing with a slicker brush followed by a greyhound comb. Once all the tangles are out, bathe the dog with a mild shampoo, I like to use Pop's Organic Shampoo. Brush the coat while it drying. Trim around the eyes and ears with scissors. This dog is not hand stripped so I do use a blade on the body. The tail is trimmed in the shape of a carrot and the nails are clipped.

Cat Bathing

Cat Bathing can be a chore, as most cats don't like the water much at all. When bathing a cat, here are some things you will need to do:
  • Have your wash area ready.
  • Have the proper shampoo
  • Have some towels near by
  • Check water temperature (use cool water, not to hot or not to cold)
  • Place something like a bath mat in your tub. Cats like to dig their toes into something.
  • Brush
Instructions Before Bathing:
Before starting the bathing process, make sure you trim all the nails of the cat. This helps reduce the risk of getting a bad scratch.

Brush your cat thoroughly, especially if it is long haired before giving bath to the cat. This helps to get the loose hair out so there is not a lot in the water during the bath.
It is also important to have everything strategically placed in the bathing area, so you can keep one hand on the cat at all times and not walking away to get something.
Place the cat in the tub, sink or shower and gentle put some water on the cat's back. This allows the cat to know what is happening before you get to much water on him.
Shampoo the cat's back, work down the sides, lather up the tail, work your hands gentle under the tummy and butt. Use a cloth to clean the head and around the face. Rinse with clean water, rinse until you no longer see or feel any shampoo.
Towel dry your cat by patting the towel all around the hair. Wrap the towel securely around the cat a place into a kitty crate or blow dry.
Brush the coat to remove any loose hair. spray with coat conditioner made for cats and enjoy a fresh smelling kitty.

St. Bernard

This pretty young girl is Daisy.
Daisy is a dry month St. Bernard, she is marked so beautifully.
She came in for a nice bath, nail trim and a very good brushing.

Pup-Peroni Dog Treats Bad for your Pet

I see words like By-Products, Sugar, dyes and Propylene Glycol.
I just read about Propylene Glycol.  It is a synthetic liquid substance that absorbs water. Propylene glycol is also used to make polyester compounds, and as a base for deicing solutions. Propylene glycol is used by the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries as an antifreeze when leakage might lead to contact with food.
Affected Organ Systems: Dermal (Skin), Renal (Urinary System or Kidneys), Respiratory (From the Nose to the Lungs)

Why would anyone give your loving pets mystery meat by-products, sugar (dogs don't care), dyes for pretty color (dogs don't care) and Propylene Glycol that will affect their organs for the Bad!

Choose a Healthy Treat that both you and your dog will Love!

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

This handsome little man is Charlie. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. For grooming, start by using a comb or brush with a firm bristle brush, and bathe with a mild shampoo. The hair on the ears is thick and is prone to tangling and matting, so pay close attention to this area. The hair between the pads on the feet should be kept trimmed tightly for a round foot. The ears should be cleaned regularly to insure that no ear infections start (Giving NuVet Plus with help). Check the eyes carefully for any signs of infection as the whiskers can poke into the eyes causing harm, plus they do have big eyes. This breed is an average shedder so regular grooming of 4-7 weeks is advisable.
Charlie is a Life's Abundance eater. Check out www.pipschoice.com

Compare your brand of pet food to ours

National Brands
Most pet food companies make several varieties to capture your business and your budget.
Consider the mixed message that is being sent by these competing products made by the same company
Which food is better?
*If one is an improvement over the other, why hasn't the old food been discontinued?
*Why should I pay more for one if both are supposed to be good for my dog?
*Is this just clever marketing?

Les Poochs Brushes

Les Poochs Brushes are the greatest I have ever used. They are expensive but last so much longer than the cheap look-alike's that are showing up in grooming catalogs and pet stores. These are easy to use and do not damage the hair. This the the proper way in which to brush the hair on dog's legs. By brushing upward, it gets through the hair easier and is much more comfortable for the dog.
